Summer Learning Journey:Day 5, Part 2

The second activity talks about The Treaty Of Waitangi. The Treaty Of Waitangi is a very special document that got signed on 6th February 1840 by the Maori chiefs and the British settlers. The treaty that they signed allowed them to work and live together as one. That is why New Zealand get a holiday every year on the 6th of February called Waitangi Day. Our task is to read about the village of Waitangi and write down 3 fun things a visitor can do there.

Activity 2-
1. You can learn the early history of Maori and New Zealand. You might find some facts that surprise you.
2. You can adventure around the place. There is a Waitangi river, the shoreside and the 6mk walk.
3. Bungee jumping, skydiving, river rafting, jet boating and much more!

The one that I would like to do most is the bungee jumping. it would be a breath-taking adventure and one that I would never forget.

  1. Hi there Lauren

Wow! I've never been to Waitangi before but I would definitely like to go visit there one day! The activities you've discussed look so fun! Especially jet boating and whitewater rafting! Bungee jumping looks fun too but I reckon I would be too scared to do it!
Have you been to Waitangi before or have done any of these kinds of activities before?

Hope to hear from you soon

    Cheers
    Jade F :)
