Summer Learning Journey:Day 2, Bonus Activity

Our last activity for today is to imagine we are on a plane. Not just any plane, a plane that lost contact with the airport. The windows were also so frosty, the pilots couldn't see out of then. It's a happy ending though, they make it back after a 14 hour flight. Our task is to imagine we were on that plane. We have to write about how we feel. In poetry form! I decided to do just a normal rhyming one.

Bonus Activity-
The sun was hiding,
and the plane was gliding.
The crowd wasn't silent,
the sight was violent.

The windows were frosty
And the wind was ghostly.
The wait was so long,
To go where I belong.

The land was in sight,
The end of our flight.
The flight was rough,
But I stayed tough.

  1. Hi there Lauren,

Wow! I loved your reading your poem! I really liked how you structured your poem with including a rhyme every second sentence. It made the poem flow very smoothly. I was very impressed with the words you used on what the crew member saw and felt during the flight and I think I would've felt the same! Did you find writing this poem a challenge or do you like writing poetry? Let me know in a comment! :)

Looking forward to hearing from you and keep up the amazing blog posts Lauren!
