We have made it to the last day of the Summer Learning Journey!!! Our first task for today is to imagine our future self. What kind of job would we like? What things would we have liked to achieve? What would we do after we leave school?
Activity 1-
I don't really have any idea of what I want to do in the future. I'm really just tagging along with the present. I want to take my life day by day. So what happens in the future, happens. I want to think small. Exceed in small areas, but make a big difference. I don't want to rush my life and start thinking about the big picture. Mainly, I want to treasure my childhood. Living as a child, not worrying about my future. Things may happen that cast a dark cloud over your life. But remember, the sun will always come out again. In 10 years, I may have different goals. My life may change, some good, some bad. But remember this when you go through a hard time. Your not alone.

Hi there Lauren,
ReplyDeleteWell done on making it to your final day of the Summer Learning Journey! I hope you’ve had a great experience over the summer and I have enjoyed reading all of your SLJ activity posts! :)
I thought your response in your first activity was beautiful! I thought your sentences about tagging along with the present and taking your life day by day is a very good way to live your life at your age! Definitely treasure your childhood and enjoy the small things in life as well as the big. I couldn’t agree with you more on your sentence about how there will be times in life when things may cast a dark cloud over you but you keep moving forward and remember that the sun will always come out again. Brilliant writing Lauren!
Someone who has always taught me about keep moving forward from struggles and take life one step at a time is my mum. She’s always taught me to not let struggles and dark clouds take over my life; learn from your mistakes and that will you build you up to make you stronger! You’ve mentioned in previous blog posts that you would like to be a gymnast one day, maybe a goal for the future would be to enhance your gymnastics skills further and excel in the sport competitively?
I thought this was a brilliant post Lauren, good job! I look forward to reading your final activities for the Summer Learning Journey!
All the best,
Jade F :)
