Summer Learning Journey:Day 1, Part 2

We are now in week 3! We are over half way through. During the 1950s, New Zealand's population grew by 400,000. That's a lot! In fact, so many people were having babies, that many people refer to this period as 'Baby Boom'.
Some of the popular names in the 1950s were -
GIRLS BOYS
Christine John
Susan David
Margaret Peter
Judith Michael
Jennifer Robert
Our second task for today is to write down at least popular girls names and 3 popular boys name in our school.

Activity 2-
Girls:
Sophie - I know 2
Kasey or Casey - 2
Summer - I know 2
Hannah - I know 4

Boys:
David - I know 2
Matthew - I know 2
Cameron - I know 2

  1. Hi there Lauren

Jade F here from the Summer Learning Journey!

Great job on the blog post. That’s very interesting how the popular names from the 1950’s has changed so much compared to now. Do you know any other Lauren’s at your school? You could possibly add that to your list of popular names. Back when I was in school I knew 3 other Jades, two girls and one boy so I was quite surprised to know more than one person at school who shared my name, we would always get confused at school when other students and teachers would call out for us!

Looking forward to hearing from you and keep up the blog posts!

    Cheers

    Jade F :)
