Olympics Has Badminton!

In reading, you should know that we have been doing a Olympics activity each day. Well it is now day 3 of the activities.

So for the 1st activity, it told us to look at this website and pick a sport that we haven't heard of before and read about it. Then on our blog we put some information about what we have learnt from it. I choose badminton because I know how to play and how it works but I didn't know that it was one of the Olympics events!

Here is some information that I put up there about the game-

Badminton is a game that contains a shuttlecock that looks like this- and a racket.

The aim of it is to hit the shuttlecock to the other side and to try to make the other player miss it and hit the ground but watch out, they can hit it back if it is in range for them to hit and you have to return to the sender!

Two rules of the game is that you (as a person) can not go to the other side of the net and two is that you can not hit it twice in one go.

Hope that you learnt something!

  1. I love the amount of information you have included in your blog post here Lauren. Make sure though, that you read the question properly. If you know how to play badminton, then you have heard of it before. Remember this for next time. Great details though!
