Taylors Mistake

In Biology, we have been studying Ecology. We have looked at the way different aspects of an ecosystem interact with each other and the adaptations different species have to survive in certain habitats. For our assessment, we went to Taylors Mistake and took a close look at the rocky shore there to see if we could spot any patterns in the ecosystem that we have learnt about. It was a fun day out and I enjoyed finding small creatures (such as starfish) in the rocky shore that you would otherwise miss if you were just walking past. Some things that we found were that the closer to the water the species were, the bigger they will be. This is because they are exposed to the water for a longer period of time, which in turn, means that they will be able to get more nutrients.

Throughout the day of the trip, I took many short clips (over 150!) of the scenery, creatures and learning that we did and compiled them into a short 2-minute video about our trip. You can take a look at it via the link below.
