Artist Model - Portfolio

In Art, we are now looking at planning our portfolios. It took me a while to generate an idea of what I wanted the first board for my portfolio to look like, but this is the thumbnail sketch I did of it:

The first board will consist of 7 artworks. In relation to the story of Tanabata, this is where the two lovers are able to be with each other and fall in love. The second board will show them being separated from each other.

For our portfolio boards, we also had to look at an artist model that we are going to use to take inspiration from. The artist model I chose is a Japanese artist called Tama (たま). I first found out about them through the MV for Mafumafu's song, Crayons in the Sky, which coincidently is a song about Tanabata. I chose them as my artist model because I like their style of art, and it resembles the Japanese 'anime/manga' style, which is what I'm trying to achieve with my portfolio (because the folktale is from Japan). These are some of the works that Tama has created:
The one above is a drawing that they did for Tanabata. You can see that the people are wearing traditional Japanese attire, and the bamboo branches and colourful paper hanging from them are also included in the background. This is a good reference for me since I'm also basing my portfolio on Tanabata.
As for this work, it looks to resemble (although I could be wrong) the goddess Orihime. I think this is the case because other depictions of Orihime from stories of Tanabata have her wearing a pink kimono, a piece of fabric that wraps around her arms and behind her head, as well as the same hairstyle that the person in Tama's artwork has.
