In Art, we have already gotten started with our portfolio boards. I have split my board into different sections that can be grouped together as 'series'. My first board has four series. My series one is made up of two paintings. Both of these works are solo shots of the two characters. The style I will be drawing in (the line art part) will be based on the style from my first artist model, while the painting style will be based on my second artist model. I am doing digital painting so I want to make my artwork still look like a watercolour painting that could’ve been done on paper (except it’s not, it’s digital). This means that I need to focus on the way I build up the colours and shadows/highlights. The colours for Orihime are mostly pink, while it’s mostly blue for Hikoboshi, and they both have yellow. Those pinks and blues (and purples) will be the same colour palette for the background (as they are in a milky way). I have finished the line art for my first piece and my next steps now are to start colouring it.
