Old Way Of Maths

We are doing gloss tests at maths and I am up. Gloss tests are a test where you sit with the teacher and they will have a sheet with some questions and you have to work out the answer but the teacher wants to know how you got the answer. So I was stuck on this one- To water tomatoes on hot days, it takes 1.5 litters of water and on cold days, it took 0.885 to water the plants. What is the difference of the hot days and the cold days?

I know the answer with the help of my mum and the answer is 0.615. This is how I got the answer-
