In Music this term we have been focusing on group work. I'm in a group with Trisha, Lily and Gencia. Our task given to us is to create a music piece (cover) that all of us can contribute to perform. Here are what the roles we are doing are: Trisha and Genica is doing the keyboard/piano, Lily is doing ukulele and I'm just doing dance. At first we had trouble figuring out what song to do so we asked the teacher for help. In the end we settled on doing 'A Million Dreams' from the Greatest Showman. It is a song that is easy to do a contemporary dance to, play piano and ukulele to. In the scene where the song was used, the young P.T Barnum was basically in love with a female friend, although her parent's didn't approve of it. The movie as a whole is great that I recommend you to watch it. I'll be choreographing my own dance to the song so that will be what I'm working on first. The middle part of the first section of the song is the hardest to choreograph because it's not as soft as the start but not as dramatic as the chorus. So it'll be hard to find something that fits the mood without repeating myself. The performance is in about a months times so I hope we can all finish our parts of the songs so we can perform at our best.
