Here is my finished work-
Mintie Experience Writing
I sat quietly while everyone else was chattering. I had no clue why the big fuss was. I folded my arms, ready to learn the important skill for today. I heard the teacher say that we were going to write an experience. I wonder what experience we are going to write about. Just then, the teacher said one of the most wonderful thing to us, we were going to write about minties!
I waited until Miss McLeod dropped a mintie lollie on me. I grabbed it in my hand and took a few seconds to look at it. I saw a white wrapper with the other colours red and green in a laid out pattern on the part of the poking out fan-looking thing. It had pictures on it and I could not see a thing because it was most likely to be hidden with a 2nd wrapper or it had no pictures on it. I’m sure that it had at least one. Tia was on the right side to me and I asked her what picture she had. She replied “I have a picture of a person fishing and the birds were on the back of the boat eating all the fish that he had catched.” I felt the wrinkles of the poking out fans and the smooth top sides were so luxurious. I could just about taste the tempting block of a lifetime.
We got told to open the tempting, mouth watering block of toothpaste. I felt as if I was opening a christmas present and it was as exciting as my birthday party on the same day! As I unwrapped the treat, I heard the sound of exploding fireworks in the distance. When the temptation was unwrapped, I was delighted to see a pure white block of taste laying on the wrapper. I looked on the wrapping paper and I was thrilled to see a picture. It was a picture of a poor man whom dropped a ice cream and he just smiled as if nothing happened. The picture was all drawn in red. Underneath it, it said in red ‘It’s moment like these when you need a mintie’.
I was dieing to get a taste of the appealing lolly. Luckily, I heard the teacher say to taste the goodie piece of candy. I reacted without thinking about it. As soon as the mintie got soaked in my mouth, its taste exploded and it tasted just like edible toothpaste that was meant for tasting and not to clean your teeth. Even though it was like toothpaste, instead of cleaning your teeth, it did the complete opposite! It was just as bad as a lolly that could make your teeth rot and the flavoring made it even more unhealthy! Who would care about all this information anyway? Come on! It’s a treat and not only that, we are allowed to have it at school! This would be a dream come true for most for you who go to school, mainly because we aren't allowed to have lollies at school.
I felt that the taste of the lolly was dissolving in every lick I took in it. I decided to stick it on the roof of my mouth. I wanted this experiment to last for as long as it could! I knew that my mouths slava was just like a acid and that eventually it would dissolve my lollie. I tried and tried to keep my saliva off the lollie but I already knew that it wouldn’t work. When it was tiny, I managed to keep it for about five minutes then I wanted to get the rest of the taste instead of it melting away. I used my tongue to scoop the mintie of my mouth's roof and I chewed it until there was nothing left. I just knew that I could not save my mintie forever but it was worth a try. There was no remainings from the lollie. It was now for my stomach to have all the fun and not me..…….
