Continuing on from my previous post, I finished the drawing I started from the photo I took as part of my photoshoot. For a bit of recap, I took four photos (all with my cat, Muffin, as the subject matter) and started making a drawing with a photo of my cat in a cat carrier. This is the drawing that I completed-
A challenging part of this drawing was trying to draw the grids of the cage correctly so it lined up the same way it did in the photo. Since I used just a pencil, I had to work with tones to show the colours and lighting for each section of the photo/drawing. My cat's fur consists of black, white and ginger, and the blanket under her is pink.
I think something that went well was the tones. I tried my best to draw lightly for the parts of the photos which were brighter and drew darker for the shadows and her darker fur.
Next, I will be creating another drawing using a photo that I took as reference (once again featuring my cat).
