Rangi and Papa

For Social Studies we took a look at Maori mythology and the Gods they had. Once we gathered some information we had to create a poster about one of them and explain their story. I chose to do it on the Maori Gods, Rangi and Papa. After doing some research I was able to find the story. I remember getting taught the story back in primary school but forgot the reason the children wanted to split the parents apart. I even forgot that they had more than one child! So it was a great refresher to good back into the story. At my old primary school, there was a year every class made a mural and it was displayed across the school for years. One of them was an illustration of Tāne pushing his parents apart, and I seem to remember that mural the most. Here's the poster that I created explaining the story of Rangi and Papa:
