1. What were the main mathematical concepts or ideas that you learned or that we discussed in class?
The idea about this problem is perimeter. We tried to work out how big of a perimeter we could make with 12 meters. Some examples of the answer we found were: 3 by 3 (which gives us the area of 9), 5 by 1 (which gives us an area or 5) and so on.
2. Describe a mistake or misconception that you or a classmate had in class. What did you learn from this mistake or misconception?
I think that something that we probably could have improved on was going through every possible answer. We learnt that the key to finding a bigger area were to have the perimeter numbers similar to that of a square.
