Dancing At Music
For music, we are currently putting together a play about 'Red in Hornbyvill'. It's based off the original 'Little Red Riding Hood'. We all have to be on stage and all have to contribute something to the performance. I'm in the dance group. At the end of the performance, we all (even the speakers) have to do a finishing dance number to close it off. It's a hip-hop themed dance and it's to this song. One thing I like about the dance is, because it's hip-hop, you can be sassy about it. A thing I found challenging about it is that it's a hip-hop routine so it fast paced. Hip-hop isn't really my style, I like ballet, contemporary, lyric or any dance that shows emotion and can be elegant. Something I can work on is learning the rhythm of the dance. At one point, we all have to do a free-style dance and I'm not used to the song so I don't know what to put in that part. We're going to perform in a few weeks so I hope I can figure out a part to put in there.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the performance that your class and 8Bh have been working on. You were very reflective and honest in this post and you even gave yourself some 'next steps' on how to improve before the final performance! It's great to see you so passionate about dancing and I've loved working with you in the Year 7/8 dance group as well!
