The Details

This week in Tech, we got told that to make our end of term project, a bag, we have to add a detail/design. We learnt 2 ways, a paint print and a Applique way. The paint way is with stencils. We also got a sponge and dipped it in paint and dabbed it on the stencil with the paper underneath.

Then the Applique was with the iron and the sewing machine. It is quite hard to explain. But this is as good as I can explain. We choose a small piece of paper called Piece 1. Then we got a Applique paper and put the gritty side to the bad side of Piece 1. The bad side is the the one with no design. Then we ironed it. The gritty side was like glue and now the fabric had it. Next we got a bigger piece and ironed the small one on top of the big one. Last of all we sewed it with zig zags to make it look better.
