How does a glow stick work ?
A Glow Stick contains 2 Chemicals, When. The 2 chemicals mix it creates a reaction that forms them to glow.
What chemicals are in the glowstick?
The main chemical in a glow stick is dibutyl phthalate and causes a reaction when met with a certain type of dye. Different types of dyes for different colours.
How Is A Glowstick made ?
The glowstick Has on the outside a plastic layer and under the plastic layer we will have a glass layer, inside the glass layer will be the chemicals.
What makes the SNAP noise in the glow stick ?
The glass layer, when the glowstick gets bent the glass layer will snap and get the chemicals to mix and will again form a reaction.
Why can we see them in daylight ?
Because they are supposed to be things that you can only see in pitch black or darkness, if it is to light then the chemicals will not be seen.
How can we make the glow last longer?
If you put the glow sticks in a freezer, the light will do a bit dim. If you take it out and leave it to heat up again, it will glow brightly again.
