First we had to get a buddy- a girl year 5 and a year 6 boy or year 5 boy and year 6 girl. Then we spent the whole of Monday to draw our design together. Next we got to draw our designs and talk together if it would work. When we both agreed that we were happy with our design, we got to make it and that was the fun part.
At the end of the week, Friday, we did some challenges and there were some prizes to win. The first challenge was height. Riley was my buddy but we only went 60cm. Natasha and Rykin got up to 2 meters! They were the only ones to get that high and they won 50$ (We get fake money at school and we can save up to buy stuff. I have $54.40)
Next we did the length test, we got 1 meter 4cm. We won nothing. We then got to do the target test. There was a picture of the teachers and circles. Inside the circles were numbers, money that we could win. It was quite like the darts board; and to win we had to fling our cotton ball at the target and hope for some money, we got 50c each (Giving me a $54.90). Last of all was this game where we had to fling it and there was some upside down paper and what ever the cotton ball hit, was what we got. We got nothing because it went too high.
After all of the challenges, our principal lit some on fire and flinged it!
If you want to see all the action, here is the videos!
This is work in progress and here is the final result.
